Siemens measurement technology for measurements in the field, laboratory and test benches

SCADAS Lab and SCADAS Mobile are high performance data acquisition systems. They enable the acquisition and evaluation of virtually any number of channels, without delay and without problematic heat generation. Typical application scenarios for SCADAS Lab and SCADAS Mobile are vibration analyses, machine diagnostics, condition monitoring, structural analyses, rotor dynamics, and noise and vibration (NVH) investigations.

Main components of SCADAS Lab and SCADAS Mobile

Data logger

The Lab data logger is used for the acquisition, processing and storage of measurement data. It has a powerful real-time processor for the fluent processing of up to thousands of channels. 

I/O modules

The system allows the installation of more than 1000 channel inputs for the complete acquisition of highly complex measurement scenarios. Signals on accelerations, forces, voltages, pressures, temperature, etc. can be measured simultaneously.

Housing

With SCADAS Lab, the measurement cards are housed in a 19-inch rack design. This allows uncomplicated power supply and connection to external devices of the laboratory environment. The SCADAS Mobile housing was developed for mobile use. Here, the measurement cards are housed in a robust, vibration-resistant enclosure. Particularly noteworthy is the consistent thermal management of the housings, which enable complex measurements without disturbing heat development.

  • Various signal conditioning modules and a choice of commercially available connectors, such as Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC), CAMAC LEMO® and Sub-D for patch panel configurations

  • Optional onboard CAN bus for integration into an Ethernet control automation network (EtherCAT

  • Optional dual tachometer and signal generator support

  • 1.25-gigabit (Gbit) hotlink fiber optics, master-slave connection with long optical cables for distributed system configurations

  • Quality components with extended temperature range for optimized reliability

  • Scalability from eight to over 1,000 channels

  • Can be coupled with other Lab and Mobile Series devices to expand the number of channels
